Josefina Rodríguez Zamora, Secretary of Tourism (Sectur), inaugurated the 2025 National Tianguis of Magical Towns accompanied by personalities such as Octavio de la Torre, president of the Confederation of National Chambers of Commerce, Services, and Tourism (Concanaco Servytur).
The event is a platform that not only promotes tourism in magical towns, but also boosts the economy of these communities. This is especially true this year, which coincides with the biggest sale of the year: El Buen Fin 2025.
"This is part of the 2025 Good Ending Strategy, to generate savings in the homes of families and the people," he said.

Octavio de la Torre led the official ceremony for the first purchase at the magical towns market, as part of Buen Fin 2025. There, accompanied by Rodríguez Zamora, he made his symbolic purchase from Mexicana de Aviación.
This action represented the shared commitment between private initiative and the Mexican government to promote tourism that generates local economic revenue, boosts formal trade, and projects Mexico as a competitive, diverse destination with a deep cultural identity.
During the inauguration of the 2025 National Marketplace of Magical Towns, Octavio de la Torre, president of Concanaco Servytur, emphasized that El Buen Fin registered 215,988 family businesses and shops throughout the country. This figure broke the previous record (200,000), demonstrating confidence in the program.
"With every purchase we make, we also build sovereignty. Every time you shop at a local store, you are supporting a family and, of course, local businesses," he said.
Octavio de la Torre argued that Buen Fin is, for many family businesses, a fundamental part of their year due to the amount of sales they make, which represent between 15 and 30% of their annual turnover.
