The inauguration also featured international representation.Mara Vanessa Stotti, from the Nicaraguan Institute of Tourism (Intur), was presented as a special guest, along with the ambassador of the Central American nation, Juan Carlos Gutiérrez Madrigal.

Boosting the economy and tourism

The inauguration of the cultural festival coincides with Buen Fin 2025, allowing the strategy to boost the national economy hand in hand with the culture of each visiting town.

Josefina Rodríguez Zamora, head of Sectur Mexico, mentioned that the coincidence of both events has the potential to boost the Mexican economy.

"This is part of the 2025 Good End strategy, to generate income for families and the people of the town. It is an important window for our country (...) Come and buy the handicrafts so that you can learn about the activities you can do as a family. That is tourism, it is our people, it is the town, where traditions are told that we can pass on," he said.

The 2025 National Marketplace of Magical Towns will also feature opportunities for meetings and business appointments to establish commercial ties at the state and national levels. The event will close on Sunday, November 16.
